Dee Singh grew up in Manchester and has worked at Revive since August 2005. She holds a BSc in Oral Health Sciences (Hons. with Distinction), graduating in 2005; having already won a General Dental Council Prize for Professionalism in 2004. She teaches dental therapy and hygiene to students at Manchester University every Friday.
Dee particularly loves treating nervous patients and trying to help them overcome their fears and really enjoys placing white fillings and dental hygiene. She loves treating children, as it brings out the inner child in her and she understands that good dentistry makes a difference to people’s day to day lives. Helping individuals become more confident, overcome fears and taking them out of pain gives her great personal satisfaction. And you know that you have made a difference even if they do still tell you they “hate dentists”!!
Dee has two adorable boys aged 4 and 6 and is one of 8 children, herself, so there is never a dull moment, and that explains why she so enjoys talking to people.
After working full time and in between taking the boys to football, Beavers, drama and swimming – not to mention the reading and homework, Dee enjoys painting and drawing and spending days out at National Trust sites.
But it’s not all quiet and relaxing; Dee once jumped out of a plane at 14000 feet, in an amazing tandem skydive and once entered an acting competition and won a television! She does handstands and cartwheels and loves rolling down hills more than her kids!
When she retires, Dee would love to live in Rome, sitting on the Spanish steps drawing and painting away.
